My experience with Carol during the titration process was great. From the very beginning, Carol's understanding of the procedures and her patient, methodical approach were evident. She took the time to explain each step in detail, ensuring that I comprehended what was expected of me. She created an environment that was both educational and supportive, fostering a sense of confidence while efficiently managing my expectations. She was always approachable, ready to answer any questions, and willing to provide additional insights that enriched my understanding of the topic. In summary, my titration experience with Carol was outstanding. Thank you again.

Carol was my prescribing nurse for the last several months of my titration and she was clear, direct and responsive in communication throughout that time. She was very pleasant and helpful throughout, but especially at the end of titration review. I felt really looked after, as she took time to explain things fully, and was patient and understanding and reassuring. I would recommend her without hesitation.

I have only had Carol Shue as my prescriber for a short while, towards the end of my titration. This is because my other prescriber wasn't responding to me at all. Therefore when I was passed over to Carol Shue it was a relief that she was very helpful, clear and concise in her communication to me. She always responds to my notes quickly and gives details answers meaning I don't have to ask further questions which works really great fot me. Carol Shue was very friendly during my end of titration review and she was patient and reassuring in making sure I understood all the information given and all the next steps. Thank you for giving me a positive end to my titration after a really hard 5/6 months previously.

Carol has been a great help to me, got back to me when I needed her to most and really helpful if I asked any questions. Couldn't have gotten through difficult time in my life without her advice and support.

Carol conducted the titration process for my ADHD medication, which was necessary following the national medication shortages. She was clear, concise, and very understanding throughout. This was extremely helpful as it was a difficult readjustment following months without treatment. I would wholly recommend.

Qualifications:

  • Nurse Independent/Supplementary Prescriber

Profile

I am a registered nurse prescriber. I started my journey as a mental health nurse by completing the recognised nursing course in the UK. Since qualifying as a nurse in 2011, I have worked in acute inpatient and community settings. I have helped pioneered the start of an NHS Adult ADHD service in 2011 and developed the service together with a Consultant Psychiatrist and provided a nurse led service for adults. Since 2011, I have participated in training conferences to help train other clinicians who were planning to start an adult ADHD service in their locality or those who have just started working in an adult ADHD service. I have given talks about the nurse led Adult ADHD service that I have helped pioneered in conferences/training sessions.

I was voted Clinician of The Year in 2017 in the NHS Trust I was working with, and this reflects my dedication and commitment to continue to develop my nursing practice and deliver the best nursing intervention to those in need.
